Inside Outside Time

Today, the Catbirds joined the Owls for some Inside / Outside Time. Friends came in this Morning very excited to check out our cement hand prints. Both the Catbirds and Owls were very excited to see that the cement had hardened and that their hand prints felt like rock! In the spirit of friendship and a way of thanking our new friends Peter and Tom, the Catbirds and Owls got together and brainstormed a few ideas of a way we could say Thank you! Friends discussed that they may be hot working outside, so maybe we should make them ice cream or lemonade while other friends thought we could make them Thank you notes. Friends remembered that we made delicious strawberry lemonade for our service learning project and that it made their hearts jump for joy, so they all agreed they wanted to pass along the feeling to our new friends. So during Choice Time, friends were able to choose between activities inside the Owls room, or they could go out into the Garden area to play. Inside friends were able to choose between making ice cold strawberry lemonade as a Thank You to our new friends, drawing, sandbox and books & puzzles. Outside friends were able to choose between magnatiles, trains, water table and helping turn over our garden beds.
