Grand Opening!

Today was a very exciting day for the Owls. Friends started their morning off picking a flower that they want to do more research on. Throughout the last week friends have been making a list of flowers that they have seen out in nature or read about in our Research Books. Today, friends went through the list and picked the one that interested them the most.

Anthurium

Daisy

Honeysuckle

Succulents

Marigold

Hellebore

Eryngium

Morning Glory

Orchid

Rose

Violet

Lavender

After all of our flowers were chosen friends went to assembly where they watched the Third and Fourth graders perform the song they have been working on with Keisha and Janani for our Indian Classical Music Residency.

After our Assembly friends headed back to our classroom for our grand opening of our flower shop, The Little Seed. Friends were very excited to finally open our new shop. It was wonderful to see the many different roles that each Owl took on. Some friends enjoyed being the customers who came in and or placed their orders on the phone. Some friends enjoyed being the florist who put together beautiful potted plants, bouquets and planted seeds. While others preferred being the cashier who answered the phone and took orders. We are very excited to see the Owls' imagination blossom as our store begins to get more business.
