Flashcards and Flubber

The Owls morning began is Spanish class with Alicia. Alicia made flashcards with our faces on them, showing the different emotions we have been discussing. To practice the words in Spanish we played the Swatter Game. Friends love this game, and also loved seeing theirs and friends faces on flashcards.

Before leaving Spanish, La Vaca came out to say mooooochas gracias. In return, friends responded with de nada.

Following Spanish, we had Morning Meeting and Choice Time. During Choice, one of the choices was Flubber making. Friends measured and mixed the ingredients and tada FLUBBER!

Snowy Owls!

The Owls began their morning by heading off to the Meeting House for Meeting for Worship. To wrap up Meeting for Worship, Keisha taught friends a new song about Peace. Ask your Owl if they remember the words to the song.  

After Meeting for Worship. friends headed back to the Owls' room for Morning Meeting and Journals. The Owls have recently started a new chapter book called The BFG (The Big Friendly Giant) written by Roald Dahl. Friends used inspiration from the book and wrote about "If BFG were your friend what would you do together?" The Owls found it very silly that they could have a giant for a friend! Here are some of what the Owls would do with BFG.

"Learn how to read together."

"Pretend they were Red Pandas."

After Journals, friends put on their snow gear and headed outside to enjoy the beautiful snow on the outdoor playground. Friends had a blast building snow people, snow bears, forts and just rolling and running around in the snow! The Owls finished up their morning by heading back into the classroom to warm up and enjoy their delicious lunches.
