Outdoor Assembly

The Owls' morning began with an outdoor Assembly. All of our Lower School friends gathered out front of Lower School to celebrate trees and nature. Assembly began with friends sharing a Moment of Silence. Friends were asked to close their eyes and listen to see if they could hear all of the beautiful outdoor sounds. The Owls were very excited because they could hear the birds chirping and the wind blowing. After our Moment of Silence, Alicia began talking about the trees and asked friends to help sing the song they have been learning in Spanish Class. Ask your Owl if they remember the words to the song.  After our song, everyone headed off to explore the beauty of our campus trees.

We met up with our Cardinal friends on our adventure. Friends could be heard talking about the different types of trees and leaves on our campus.

Friends had a great time exploring our campus, especially when it came to jumping in leaf piles!

After our adventure, we headed back to our classroom for Morning Meeting and Choice Time. Friends were able to choose between Drawing, Dramatic Play, Magnatiles, and the Sandbox. Some friends were so inspired by our walk, so they drew beautiful pictures of birds, trees and flowers.

The Owls finished up our morning by working on our ongoing art project. Can you guess what we are creating?
