Finger Painting, Musical Trains, and the Letter F

Our Monday morning started in Art. Amanda explained to us that we would be finger painting today! Along with our hands and fingers, we used sponges, toothbrushes, brushes, and "dinosaur teeth."

After Amanda's demonstration, it was our turn to make our own paintings.

Friends enjoyed using the different mediums to create their works of art.

Some friends chose to fully immerse themselves in the process, even going up to their elbows!

After Art, we came back to the classroom for Morning Meeting and Literacy Workshop.

We started off with one of our favorite songs Where Do You Start Your Letters?

This week we are learning all about the letter F.

Friends first wrote the letter F.
One big line, and two small lines.
Next, they traced the letter with their finger.
Friends repeated this several times.

With Harvest Fest right around the corner, friends voted on which color they would like to dye our T-shirts.

After singing our hello song in Music, friends took out their bumblebees to get started on the next activity.

Here friends are singing and playing Jack in the Box.

Next, the Owls climbed aboard the train and headed off to different cities and states.

We sang goodbye, and then were off for some Outdoor Play.

Ask your Owl for a word that starts with the letter F.

  1. The painting especially looks like so much fun. I think I want to be in pre-K again. Thanks for all you do!
