Following Morning Meeting, friends headed right into Literacy Workshop, where we went over and sang Where do you start your letters?
The Owls partnered up with one another, and used their curves and lines to make different letters. The classroom was filled with enthusiasm and excitement as friends experimented and formed letters, both upper and lowercase!
Today, the Owls got started on sewing our class quilt! Danielle showed and explained to us the parts of a sewing machine, and how they all work together. Here, friends are practicing pressing the pedal. Some friends chose to use their foot, while others used their hands.
In between sewing and picture day, friends enjoyed some choice time. Choices included trains, blocks, snack, gears, and sewing your quilt square.
We will continue to work on the quilt tomorrow.
