Rainforest Facts and Animals

Today the Owls learned more about the rainforest. We have chosen our animals and the Owls can't wait to learn more about their animal, and friends' animals as well! We will be sending homework home on Monday, which the Owls cannot wait to do! Look below for rainforest facts and pictures of animals the Owls have selected to study.

Fact #1
The climate in the rainforest is very hot, humid and wet.

Fact #2
Rainforest's are found in Africa, Asia, Australia, and Central and South America.

Fact #3
It rains at least 80 inches per year.

Fact #4
It can take 10 minutes for a falling raindrop to travel from the canopy to the floor.

Fact #5
The are four layers to a rainforest (Emergent layer, Canopy layer, Understory layer, and Forest floor).
