Blanket Making Service Project

Today, the Owls had two very special visitors who came in to work on a service project with us! Ask your Owls if they remember who our visitors were.

The Owls helped make blankets for the Breathing Room Foundation. Friends learned that the blanket they were helping make was going to go to someone who was sick to help make them feel better. The Owls all agreed that when they do not feel good they love to snuggle up with their blankets! Some friends even suggested that we should make them "lovies" to make sure they feel extra better!

Joyce cut slits and holes around the outside of the blanket. Next, she showed friends how to "sew" the blanket by looping the strips of fabric through the holes. After the blankets were all sewed shut friends held a piece and wished kind, healthy and loving thoughts into the blanket to help give it extra healing powers!
