Pajama Day

Today was a very exciting day because it was Pajama Day! Friends came to school dressed in their comfiest pajamas and slippers with an extra special stuffed lovey! The Owls started their morning off with a "family" breakfast. Friends enjoyed a breakfast of waffles and raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and bananas!

After friends gobbled up their breakfast, the Catbirds joined us for an extra special Morning Meeting. The Owls have been reading the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and friends were talking about the different characters and some friends were upset that Charlie and his family did not have a lot of food. So over the last week, friends have been talking about different ways we could help others out. Some friends thought they could share their lunches and others thought they could make food! So the Owls and Catbirds did just that! As a choice for Choice Time, friends met at the tables to make pumpkin bread and banana bread to send to off to the Face to Face for people to enjoy on Thanksgiving.

Friends finished up their morning with Andrea reading us the book "Me Too Iguana" written by Jacquelyn Reinach. Friends learned that this was an extra special book to Andrea because she used to read it as a kid! The Owls gave this book two thumbs up and celebrated their great day ending with an EC Dance Party!
